You can only do this with a mountain guide, and you can profit of his knowledge of the areas to chose from depending on your level. (Security equipment included by Marco)

Return journey back to Avoriaz in the Portes du Soleil :

You can only be taken back and dropped off on the French side of the Portes du Soleil.

Provided by the helicopter company based in Avoriaz -MBH (Mont Blanc Helicopter) they propose the return journey in afew minutes back to the resort after a lovely downhill off piste on the ski domain and a drink on the terrasse. Mont-Blanc hélicoptère
